Coach Neil enters his first year as the head coach of the Central Rockets.  Coach "Vinny" was a graduate of Dundee-Crown High School in 1997, and was a two-time state qualifier in cross country, and was a four-time state qualifier in track.  His efforts on the track earned him a scholarship to run at the University of Toledo (also called the "Rockets") and later at Eastern Illinois University, under EIU Hall of Fame cross country coach, John McInerney.  As a Collegiate athlete, coach Neil competed in x-country and ran the 3000 meter Steeplechase in track.  He helped guide the EIU Panthers to cross country conference titles in 1999 and 2001, and was a member of the EIU Track program which had won the Ohio Valley Conference title in each of his three years with Eastern Illinois.  Mr. Neil teaches World History, US History, and Adventures in Social Studies.
