C.M.S. Captures Second Straight Academic Excellence Award
For the second year in a row the Illinois State Board
of Education has honored C.M.S. With its Academic Excellence
Award. The award is presented to those schools whose Math
And English scores are at, or over, the 90% mark.....Read

High School Registration and
Explore Test
Central High School will host two evenings to
assist 8th grade students, and their parents, through the
Registration process. These evenings will consist of two
parts. The first portion of the evening will be an
explanation of your student’s EXPLORE test results, which
you will receive that evening, and information of how this
test identifies aca-demic strengths and college readiness.
The second portion of the evening will be an explanation
from our Guid-ance Counselors detailing the registration
process that 8th grade students will go through as they
select classes to be taken at the high school next year.
Following are the dates and times for these
meetings:
CMS students/parents: Wednesday, February 8th at 6:45 p.m.
and
PKMS students/parents: Monday, February 13th at 6:45 p.m.
On both evenings, the meetings will take place in the CHS
Auditorium.
We look forward to meeting with both you and your students
as they begin their four-year journey through high school.

The CMS student recognition
breakfast for the 2nd academic quarter will
be held on Thursday, February 9th at 7:00 AM in the
cafeteria.

D.C. Trip Update
Hopefully you have signed up for the trip and are excited
about going. The final cutoff for registrations was January
30, so we will begin the process of room sign-ups on
February 7. At that time anyone who has a full room
(depending on whether you signed up for a double, triple, or
quad) may stop in the library and fill in all the names of
those who will be in your room. We will begin sorting out
the other rooms and roommates on February 21. If you have
any questions you may contact Mrs. Inkinen at
pinkinen@burlington.k12.il.us or call her at school.
