  • Principal's Message

    Thanks for a Fantastic Time

As most of you know, I am retiring at the end of June. I want to thank all of you for the relationships I have developed over my 33 years in this fantastic district, and my last nine years at CMS. The parents, staff members and students have made such a large positive impact on my life. It has been a joy to come to work each morning and much of the credit for that fact relates to the people I deal with every day.

When I turn in my keys on June 29th, I will walk away with thousands of wonderful memories, ranging from my eighth graders this year, to my first class of kindergartners in 1979. Thank you, again, for the respect you have shown me and friendships made over the years. It has been my pleasure serving you and the Central Blue and White!

Central Community School District 301 is pleased to announce that Carie Walter, currently principal at Country Trails Elementary School, has been selected as the new principal for CMS for the 2012-13 school year.

Mrs. Walter has served as an elementary principal in the Central Schools for the past nine years, and prior to joining the administrative team at Central, she was an Asst. Principal in District 300. Her teaching career began at Huntley Middle School, where she taught math and science at the 7th and 8th grade levels for seven years. She has a passion for working with middle school students and is excited about this new opportunity to lead an eighth grade center.
