Upcoming dates:

  • The PKMS PTO would like to commend all the families at PKMS for pulling together and raising $14,113.17 for the bleachers.  The end of the year is fast approaching and we would like to reach our original goal of $16,000.  If you are interested in being a PKMS family sponsor to help us reach our goal, the process is simple.  Please put your donation in an envelope with your name and FAMILY SPONSORSHIP on the outside and send in to school with your child!  You will receive a car decal for your donation and thank you so much for your support!

    •  Compiling students/parents information with school

    • Responsible for organizing 2 sale dates per year (fall and spring)
    • Choose items to sell
    • Organize distribution of products once arrived

    Student Recognition Breakfast (May, need for both locations)

    • Organizing 4 recognition breakfasts/year
    •  PKMS pays for this event, you purchase and submit to principal for reim
    •  Usually in Nov, Feb, April and May
    •  Time commitment is that day to set up (615am – 730am)

    Teacher Appreciation Week

    • Providing small  treats for teachers during the week         (Monday thru Friday)
    • Organizing breakfast for staff
    • Organizing lunch for staff         
    • Securing donations for big teacher gift for that week
    • Event typically takes place the first week in May

    Fundraiser

    Our largest fundraiser is the Marathon, which is run by the PE department.  This typically takes place in late September.  With the funds raised, we are not only able to offer the committees listed, but provide funds for the following:  

    • Assemblies
    • Encore Teachers
    • Falcon Days
    • ISAT Ice cream
    • Reward day
    • Library  
    • Multi Cultural Event
    • Rainbow Club
    • School Play
    • Secretaries Day
    • Teachers Requests
    • Student Recognition Breakfasts
    We may also have a few other fundraising opportunites during the year which include but are not limited to blizzard days, pin sales and family sponsorships
