HEALTH REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION

FROM THE NURSE:

I hope everyone had a relaxing and healthful break. We are now heading into the heart of Flu season. Please remember the 3 C’s in preventing the spread of the flu.

* Clean your hands

* Cover your nose and mouth

* Contain your germs

Also be sure to get plenty of rest, eat a healthy diet and get your Flu vaccine.

When calling your child in absent please be sure to answer the following question: Does your child have a fever over 100 with a cough and or sore throat? This will help us track the illness which we are required to report to the Kane County Health Department.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS OF SENIORS CLASS OF 2018:

Last year, the state of IL enacted the following immunization requirement for all students entering the 12th grade:

Meningococcal Vaccine (prevent Meningitis)

This is a friendly reminder at the time of your student’s next visit to your healthcare provider, you should make arrangements to have this vaccine completed. If you do not anticipate a visit, please schedule an appointment. Documentation is required in the school health office by October 15, 2017 and school boards are required toexclude students from school if it is incomplete. If you have an objection to this immunization based on religious beliefs, the form can be found on our website. This form must be submitted annually to the school after it is completed by a healthcare provider and you.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. We hope to avoid any interruption in your student's attendance during his/her senior year.
