Registration Information

Returning Student Registration

Families of returning students will complete online registration through Skyward. Guardians should log into their Skyward account and look for "Online Registration". Please review each step of online registration to ensure all information is accurate. If you have any changes you cannot make yourself in Skyward, please contact your student's school office.

Families who rent their homes or are living with another family within district boundaries (host) are required to complete a verification of residency each school year according to the guidelines below:

  • Families must complete a  Verification of Residency and Enrollment Form that indicates the current address and residency status.
  • If you rent your home, you must submit a copy of your current signed and dated lease as well as three bills or other acceptable items that include your name and home address. One item must be either a utility bill or have been mailed to your home. You must also provide proof of two months rent payment (checks cancelled from the bank or your bank statement). If you do not have a current lease, you may complete a Renter's Form for Verification of Residency.
  • If you are hosted by (living with) another family in District 301, you must complete a Host Form for Verification of Residency and submit three bills or other acceptable items that include your name and home address. One item must be either a utility bill or have been mailed to your home. The host must also prove residency.

Please visit the Health Services page on the district website for information regarding health requirements for returning students.

We have developed a Parent Guide to Online Registration to walk guardians step-by-step through online registration. For any additional questions regarding registration, please contact the school office or the district office.

New Student Registration

Families new to District 301 boundaries should contact the school their child(ren) will attend to notify the office of a new registration. While students may not be enrolled before verifying residency within the district, a "heads up" that a new student is coming is always appreciated.

In order to register a new student, families must complete a Verification of Residency and Enrollment Form to prove residency. Documentation is required to demonstrate that the family is living (not just owns property) within 301 boundaries. Specific documentation will depend on the situation:

  • If you own your home, you must submit proof of home ownership (tax bill, mortgage document, or closing statement) as well as three bills or other acceptable items that include your name and home address. One item must be either a utility bill or have been mailed to your home.
Families who rent are required to prove residency on an annual basis.
  • If you are hosted by (living with) another family in District 301, you must complete a Host Form for Verification of Residency and submit three bills or other acceptable items that include your name and home address. One item must be either a utility bill or have been mailed to your home. The host must also prove residency. Host families are required to prove residency on an annual basis.

A list of acceptable documents is included on the Verification of Residency and Enrollment Form.

Please note: The district has the authority to conduct a home visit and/or require additional documentation to verify residency.

In addition to residency documentation, parents/guardians of new students entering the district will need to provide the following documents to the office(s) of the school(s) the student(s) will attend:

Once all required documentation has been received and residency has been verified, the office staff will enter the student's information into Skyward, our student management system. Parents will then be notified that they are able to go online to complete the online registration process.

Please visit the Health Services page on the district website for information regarding health requirements for new students.
